Help us change the future of children like Makhmuda

|
Dear Friend,

I am writing to you today to tell about a little girl and her dreams.

Makhmuda Begum, a 7 years old girl from Assam, did not desire for a Barbie doll or an angel dress! All she dreamt of was to be able to go to school with other children.

Makhmuda worked in brick kiln. On days when she was not working there, she was forced to perform household chores such as cooking, cleaning, and washing utensils. Her tiny hands had turned pale and her face lost its innocence. She was robbed of her childhood completely.

Two years ago, one of our team members came across her and asked her if she wanted to go to school. "Yes, going to a school is my dream," came her quick reply. Upon hearing this, we didn’t wait even for one day and  Makhmuda was enrolled into a school the same day.

Whenever I travel to places where Save the Children is working with children, I am humbled to witness the change we are able to bring about in a child's life and that would not be possible without your support. Makhmuda is not alone. There are many more children like her who are yearning for an opportunity like this. Your monthly contribution can help us bring long lasting changes in the lives of children like Makhmuda across India. I call upon you to stand up for children who want to learn but don’t have the means to do so.

Please to choose a donation amount of your choice. Your kind contribution can shape the future of a child.

Looking forward to a long term relationship with you.

Warm regards,
Irwin Fernandes
